Sheridan Buck for Montana House District 26

Re:  My Enthusiastic Endorsement of Republican Candidate Sheridan Buck

To all of my friends in Montana House District 26: I am proud to serve as your Public Service Commissioner, and so I am very excited for all of you that Sheridan Buck has thrown her hat into the ring to represent you in Helena in the Montana House of Representatives.

I was Statewide Director for former Senator Conrad Burns, so I know a great leader when I see one; Sheridan Buck is a proven leader, demonstrating many of the same qualities that made Conrad so successful.  Sheridan is experienced, smart, courageous, friendly, and always willing to listen anyone’s ideas- but she also knows where “The Line” is, and she has the ethical strength to never cross that Line.  She will always put your interests first.

As an example of her commitment to the Great Falls community, she was a founder member of a Steering Committee that built a much-needed neighborhood fire station- a station that was built tax free and completed with zero debt.  Sheridan has an impressive track record in political life, serving as a Committeewoman, Precinct Captain, Election Judge, and most recently as the Chair of the Cascade County Republican Party.

What has made Sheridan Buck who she is?  One formative influence was her marriage to Great Falls’ own Lieutenant Colonel Mike Buck, a retired Fighter Squadron Commander with the Montana Air National Guard.   Sheridan married Lt Col Buck 35 years ago, just as she was finishing her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.  For the first 28 of those years she supported Mike in all aspects of his challenging military career, keeping everything running during his long overseas combat deployments.  While Mike was gone, Sheridan was singularly responsible for everything- from Babies to Budgets!

Along the way, Sheridan learned to love shooting sports, and she is a fierce defender of the Second Amendment.  She is a Life Member of the National Rifle Association and a board director of the Montana Shooting Sports Association.  She has twice earned A+ ratings and endorsements from both the NRA and the MSSA.

Sheridan passed that love of shooting on to her three children, who have all hunted in Big Sky Country.  Should we be surprised that all three of those children are now military officers?  Her oldest son is an Army Officer, and her youngest son is a Reserve Naval Officer.  Her daughter?  She is a US Naval Aviator, flying combat aircraft in the Navy!

By now you won’t be surprised to learn that she’s a Pro-Life Christian.  She has been a Church volunteer for both youth and Seniors, and earned an endorsement from the Montana Family Foundation in 2014!

For all of the above reasons and more, I wholeheartedly endorse Sheridan Buck to be your voice as your Representative in Helena for House District 26.   She will be a strong advocate for all of you!
